Loan for Bad Credit?
Hi all,
I'm wondering if there's a decent loan company for bad credit? I say bad credit, my credit isn't really bad... I got a credit card to build my credit profile and I've always paid on time, full amount.
I was saving for a holiday to the US, which I was suposed to book this month but i've been having constant trouble with my car, which has cost me a fortune to repair. Which means i've spent most of my holiday money! I was thinking of a loan of about £1,000. Can be paid either 12 months or 24, no more than that.
Do you think it's worth trying to get a loan with my bank? I'm with Halifax and also Nat West. Not sure if they're strict or not...
Thanks!

It is always best to try your bank first of all. What is your income and outstanding balances on any credit facilities/hire purchase agreements?Best Regards

why do you have bad credit rating?
what do your credit records actually say?0 -
Hi
How long have you had the credit card for? If you've had it quite a while it's possible you may be able to get one of the more 'normal' cards now; you will then have some protection for your payment when you pay for your holiday
Failing that then your best bet is to try your own bankMFW 2026 #50: £3,583.49/£25,00007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00
