child sports sponsorship

hi everyone

my son age 8 is one of the countries best golfers in his age group
it has been mentioned to me on many occassions that i should look at sponsorship for him from local businesses and friends that are businessmen and willing to help
however i havent got any idea whatsoever about how to go about this or what to do
what benifits would my son recieve and what benefits would any prospective sponsors expect to recieve

are there any pitfalls

Why don't you send these an e-mail, tell them what you would like to do , as regards sponsorship for your son and ask if they can give you any advice ....point you in the right direction..........it's worth a try ;D
