Hi,

My husband is 30 in September and i decided i was going to do the 30 presents thing but am now stumped at what i can get him.

He likes:
  • Golf, he has the essentials, but not really sure what else i could get him for that.
  • Snooker, again has the essentials.
  • Favourite football team is West Bromwich Albion
  • Loves Star Trek
  • He is a builder/carpenter
  • He has an Ipod touch
  • He has a PS3, favouriute game at the mo on there is Fifa and Resident Evil
  • Space and planets
  • Top Gear
I have got him:
  1. A toy Star trek communicator badge
  2. A West Bromwich Albion Water bottle (for golf)
  3. A WBA Glass
  4. A Signed star trek cast photo
  5. Some chocolate golf balls
  6. A Stanley Distance Estimator thing (for work)
  7. A Laptop Skin (Space)
  8. Wireless Keyboard for PS3
  9. Name a star
  10. Book as suggested by rainmac
  11. golf balls
  12. Blue Ray control for PS3
The ones in Blue are intended 'gets'

I am getting him a new mobile phone too. And i am making a cakeless birthday cake too.

Money isn't really a problem although i don't want to spend £000's. :D It is also my youngest son's 2nd birthday 9 days before.

Any ideas would be MUCH appreciated.

When my lil brother turned 30 I made him a book all about him/being 30. I found info about the day he was born, things that happened the year he was born (in the news, songs of the year. favourite toys, sweets that sort of thing). I found out the average proces of some things such as a loaf of bread, pint of milk, pint of beer, a house etc. I asked my mum about the day he was born - weather, time he arrived etc and names they considered calling him and some key events that stick out in her mind of his life. I also included info on famous people turning 30.

    HTH ;)

Kms26 - Unless he's a whizz at golf more more golf balls might be useful as I've been told they tend to loose them!

RainMac that is a great idea, i think i will definately look into that, Did you just print in out or did you make it like a scrap book type thing, would really appreciate it if you let me know

Marg i had thought of that he likes a specific type so will find out which ones.

PepPop I showed him sock monkeys last night and he said oooh they are great for kids lol so i said what about having a couple for your clubs and he said yeah great if i was 6!!!! I think i will definately name a star after him, i think he would like that  He has a leather case he uses for his ipod, but i might get myself one of them lol they are cute!!:D

    Anymore ideas???
  • Wow! Great idea.

Since he's into Top Gear how about one of the books or videos by Clarkson, for his iPod you could get him an Amazon or iTunes voucher (a bit naff on its own but as one of 30 things I would have thought this was ok) and since he's into golf you could get him a golf experience day like a day with a pro or using computerised kit to improve his swing.

Does he have any other hobbies or interests?

Love the trekkie communicator badge by the way!
