not sure what to do? mini update- advice needed!

quick update:

I've recieved the break down of charges from the ater company and the reason it is so high is that it include the bill for 2010-2011 which is over £600 just for the coming year so the amount owing is correct.

This is fine so I wrote to the DCA again explaining what I can pay to them monthly or weekly and that I can't pay the full amount immediately. This has been ignored. So I have emailed them 4 times over the past few weeks and no response from that either. I also emailed the water company asking what I can do if DCA won't repsond to me.

Why, after constant phone calls and letters have the DCA suddenly gone so quiet? I've not heard from them for ages now so not sure what to do?

Shall I carry on paying the water company via my payment slips at post office or start sending cheques to the DCA? (i'm worried that as they seem to ignore me now they won't credit the payments?)

Any ideas??

If you're already paying SWW keep paying them is the simple bit. If you're worried they wont credit it don't be, first off SWW generally don't "forget" to credit accounts, I will say that for them. Secondly (this is far more important) you can get receipts for the payments you make and keep those, so if they do "forget" you can bother them later.

Ignore the DCA as long as you've got a direct way to pay SWW keep at it Hon. No sense involving a DCA when you don't have to, they are staffed by people like Bert and his trainee!

Thanks Hannah, I have been continuing to pay the watercompany and these were credited on my statement they sent to me so unless I hear from the dca again I'll just keep paying SWW and hopefully they'll just take the account back - maybe they have already without telling me which is why no news from dca?
