Make your DVD player into a Multi Region one for free!

Hi,
Hopefully im posting this in the right place.... i found a website which provides hacks to convert dvd players to multi region. on mine it was as simple as pressing some buttons on the remote control - i had no idea it was so easy!!

Cheers for this - I have a region 1 DVD that I got a few months ago, and I've been saving for a multi region DVD player ever since (The DVD has been deleted in the UK and I couldn't get a hold of it anywhere) so you have just saved me a fortune!!

This is really handy but be carefull as i did this a while ago and then my dvd player stoppped working after 3 months (not because of the code, just dodgy parts or something) I took it back to argos and they tested to see what was wrong. They told me they knew i had put a 'dodgy' code in and would not refund or replace. got stuck with it at that point it would only play in back and white lol! anyway point is don't do this if you are still under guarantee because it is classed as tampering. Other than that go for it, region 1 is soo much cheaper!!!

Yep - it is surprisingly easy to make a multi-region DVD player.

You were had, you should have threatened them with TS, entering a code is in no way classed as tampering and does not invalidate your statutory riights especialy if it was a parts failure, it may affect your warranty though.

nope, it will only play vcd's after if it played them before.. all depends on what media your player can read..
