Quidco Newbie Would Like Advice

Hi guys, I'm currently starting to do some shopping for a two year anniversary in November, as well as Christmas. I like to be prepared and have time to shop around for the best deals.

I've so far only used Nectar eStores which would seem to work in the same way as cashback sites such as Quidco, using 'cookies' (Yumm!) to track your online shopping etc.

My question is with regards to credit card security, as reading through the privacy policy on Quidco I found the following:

"Your transaction information is stored in order to provide you with cashback."

Does this just refer to the transaction as in I have bought something from Boots, or do they store payment details & personal info etc.

Also, could anyone kindly give me a breif summary of the payment system as this looks like a really good scheme for getting a bit of bonus cashback and I feel that I'm missing out!

Many thanks.

I emailed Quidco a while back about this and they informed me thats its only the information that you hold on quidco - ie name, address etc, plus method of payment of your quidco monies, so if you are set up to have the money transferred to a bank then they hold your bank details

If you required clarification, just email quidco in their help section I have found that whenever I have had a query they respond within a few hours.

Hope this helps and happy shopping

Thanks for that - it makes real sense actually that they are refering to the details stored on record for the cashback payment transactions (i.e. cashback into your paypal account) and not your actual shopping etc. Ijust hadn't thought of that.

Of course, having thought about it further, 'Cookies' shouldn't store any credit card details anyway if you're buying from a secure website.

Thanks for your help, I'm off to register.
