Evening all,
Right I am hoping that you guys on here can help and guide me to change my lifestyle.
I work 6 days a week with a Saturday being overtime and its only this that is funding my shopping, socialising and lifestyle!!! I am currently able to meet all debt repayments easily but if the overtime is stopped which is a possibility then my lifestyle will be cut so I want to start this now but want to know what other people have been through, the changes they have made and how they have coped with these?
Just abit of a back ground I am a 30 year old single girl, I have my own 1 bedroom flat which I have a mortgage on but negative equity, urgh.
Sorry if this is an essay but have cut all other areas from reading on here for years but am only now just posting. Hope this isn't too long and that I can get some help from what seem like such lovely people.
Thank you all x

If you can meet your debt repayments easily why don't you throw a bit more money at them while you've still got your overtime, that way if it does stop the debt won't be as large and the overall effect won't be as bad.
You've got your own place, instead of always going out drinking/meals out etc, get your friends round, they bring the booze you do the cooking, or they bring a course each. That keeps the cost down and you can always take it in turns so its not always you thats got the chefs hat on.2013 - Finally got the house we' ve worked so hard to get......now it's a life of diy and no money....couldn't be happier 😊

no doubt about it, if you have debt & want to be rid of it there's nothing else for it but a lifestyle change I'm afraid! We've had to make scarifices when its come to going out and for about the last year () we've given up the going out every weekend and chosen to save & go for holidays instead. I think its easier as a couple to do this as we have each other for entertainment and don't have to resort to the living room wall! Its important to get creative with socialising, 241 deals, orange wednesday for cinema, what on locally in ur area, people round for dinner/clothes swapping/film night/the list is endless. The more I've done it the easier its become but along with this is a reduction in the frequency. It also depends where all ur friends are at because if they're going out splashing cash at the weekened, its gonna be so hard for you...one thing I do now is decide how much I can afford to spend on socialising & stick to it, when its gone its gone!
Good luck xDF as at 30/12/16

Thank you for all these many of which I already do, I suppose then its my will power that needs improving!!!
I wish I had someone to hold the funds and give me x amount per week to live off full stop no questions, I have stopped taking my debit card out with me and haven't used a CC for 6 months ago apart from a couple of times last month.
Any ideas on how I can improve my will power on my own?
Thank you all x0
