i've been an Avon rep a few times and if i hadn't spent all my earnings on buying from the sales brochures i'd probably have done ok out of it lol.
things where just changing when i last packed in and the team leader thing was being rolled out, thats where you sell for yourself and get a % of your earnings plus a % of earnings from reps in your group.
it's been a while since i did it so not too clued up on the earnings now as things may have changed a lot, basically you get approx 25% in earnings when you hit your sales target, plus the advantage of being able to buy for yourself at marked down prices in the sales brochures etc, if you keep a tight reign on your purchases you can make money doing it, it can be hard work tho unless you have a large circle of family/freinds/collegues willing to buy regular.
i had quite a big round and winter was the worst, when you have to go out delivering and collecting so many days a week, not great when it's pee'ing it down
Having said that, it was one of the best sales times coming up to xmas, summer was another good time and suncreams flew out. there are many things to aim for if your really interested in selling, i was invited to many of the top seller award ceremonies, fantastic meals and nights out, holidays to be won if you do really well too.
heres the site to register your interest http://www.avon.uk.com/PRSuite/selling/sellingavon.jsp
your local area manager will pop round when it's convenient and talk you through everything and explain whats what, your brochures for the first 2 campaigns are given to you and they used to charge around £15 for those (not sure if it's the same now) but thats split over the 2 campaigns so you don't pay that all at once and it's taken from your earnings.
I hope that helps a bit and good luck if you choose to go ahead with it, i'm sure there must be some avon reps on here tho who will be able to offer you better advice and hopefully they'll post to help you further

Did it many a year ago.
Not going to say much, just be prepared for alot of hard work - but the rewards are there for you. September/October is an ideal time to start, get a few campaigns under your belt and build up some trust before campaigns 17/18 at Christmas.0 -
I am a Partylite consultant (which I've said before a few times-sorry). I go to peoples homes do a show/party. Hostess receives commission, I get paid well 20 - 25% of sales. Products get delivered straight to hostess so I don't have to deliver anything and it's straightforward and very easy. I joined in May and have sold @£4000 worth of products and got myself nearly £1000 and hundreds of free products. There's no outlay and the products are fab. If you want any more info then please pm me.Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680
