A few I would recommend would be:

Revlon, Twist or something like that. Not a bad mascara, good for legnth and separation, could have more volume but overall a good buy.

Bonjours 1001 mascara, did a great job of legnthening and separation.

Maybelline Collossal or fake lashes (dark pink or yellow curvy tube) really think this mascara is great, extends lashes and adds volume. Great for nights out.

Rimmel sexy curves. Separates and curls, slight legnthening too. Good for day wear.

another vote for maybelline false lash effect. I havent had a problem with it flaking, been using it for a year now, so worth a try? You can apply this with a light touch for a daytime look and still get the extension and slight volume effect, and really go for it in the evening for a dramatic look :T

Correction: I actually meant max factor false lash effect! Have not tried the maybelline version

I recently bought Avon Superfull and was really impressed by it - gonna buy another for my mum. It really seperates your lashes which gives a much fuller look. I think it was £8

I'm just not getting this whole Max Factor thing- I have the false lashes wand, have had it for ages and just can't seem to get anything other then a coating on my lashes- no extention, no volumising (maybe a slight thickening but thats it). Am I doing something wrong here? I even went out an bought a new one as the first one I bought did nothing, I heard all the good reviews and assumed I had a dud so went out to get a new one: no difference at all!

Any tips besides the old wiggling at the base of the lashes, several coats and not to reapply once dry?

--- hi jenniewb- i generally just apply 1 coat in the morning wiggleing at the base of my lashes - and using the end of the wand 2 separateand lashes and to coat the end lashes to give a more dramatic look ---you could also try Bourjois Elastic mascara its ment to add 130% more visible length - im not sure it adds 130% but it quite good - think its about £9 -- my mum also uses the calorific one from max factor which is also quite good :) hth
  • Lancome and it only use to cost £10 from superdrug

Thanks for the tip. Thing is, I have many mascaras, at one point I had 12! I like to buy them a little too much! Thing is, out of all my mascaras, the Max Factor didn't even make the top 10, it just doesn't volumise or lengthen for me at all, and the wand is so big that I end up poking my eyes at least once per application (normally when half my lashes are covered and makeup done, resulting in black spider marks on my under eye...) Just wondered if I was doing something wrong to get such mediocre results.
