NDR Debt Interest

Hi, I'm having some trouble with NDR debt recovery, this is the company who are now handling my outstanding debt from a Littlewoods catalogue account. A little info. on what I owe, it's saying on my NDR statement that I owe £252.00p from my Littlewoods account which I'm fully willing to pay as I did receive the goods etc, but NDR have added £342.51p to the debt which is under the title 'Your Extended Terms New Total'. This has increased the debt to £594.51p which is ridiculous and they have more than doubled my original debt from Littlewoods. As I mentioned previously, I will pay the original debt as it's fair etc, but I'm no way paying this extra interest NDR have whacked on. I am currently paying them £10 a month which is useless as they are charging me £12 'Purchases, Charges and Adjustments' so the debt keeps increasing by £2 a month. Is there anything I can do like go back to Littlewoods and agree to pay what I owe to them originally?

Thanks.

I believe NDR are Littlewood's inhouse debt collection department. It is Littlewoods that is charging you the interest.

As this looks like it is getting so out of hand, i think your only option is to go toe to toe with them.

They can lawfully apply £12 late payment fees. If your paying below the min contractual payment, then they can charge that £12 which is what is happening.

As to the interest, it must be inline with the accounts interest that is already been charged, they cant just whack on a imaginary figure.. Assuming an even high APR of 30% and 2 years of late payments, it would maybe reach that ~£350 figure.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
