Pooky, it's going ok though he's bored and is considering asking for his old job back!
The first few days were a bit 'tense', he was looking through the text messages and pics on my phone and been looking through my bedside draw too. I've got nothing to hide.
Though he's been really good looking after me when I was ill over the weekend.
He's applied for some jobs but not heard anything as of yet. I'm going to let him make the decision over what he wants to do.
Moan over!

LMC, hope things get a bit better soon.
Well, the angels and demons on my shoulder have been in overdrive this afternoon. I nipped into poundland and resisted all the stationery on offer (I did a massive stock up in the Ryman sale last month), and then in Starbucks I had fruit toast instead of the muffin I'd promised myself, made my drink last two hours and still have enough on my card for another.
Then it all fell apart... I got a pair of earrings (£1) and a ring (£2) in the Boots sale, then another pair of earrings (£1.80) in the Accessorize sale, and then noticed a handbag in another shop window. I've needed a new one since my last one got a hole in the bottom in Feb, and I've been making do with a couple of charity shop cheapies but they haven't been totally suitable. This one's very pretty, very big, and has a long strap so I can wear it across body, so it's perfect, and it was half price at £11. So I'm now on a challenge to spend as little as possible in the next week and a half. Hopefully I can get the freezer down a bit as a result, it really needs emptying and defrosting.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Thanks Ames. The bag sounds lovely, where did you get it from?
It's really nice and comforting to know that you're all here if I need to moan.

I've just bought it. I might never actually listen to the song but that girl was a local (to where I grew up) so there's no way I couldn't buy it, knowing that.
