    good morning,

another rainy day here in manchester, no much planned today just the usual work and try not to spend anything, although the wife has other idea's

is this sad? (probably, but i don't care!!!!) but went to fuel up this morning, and petrol had dropped another penny over night, (now we budget quite strictly each week fuel food etc,) and i couldn't help but smile that i'd put less money in the Motorbike and would free up a few extra penny's to overpay something,

do these little thing really make us money saver that happy???

    Morning all

Welcome to the daily chat Blue and yes, any saving is a good thing!

Had a bit of a lie in this morning, listening to the rain pouring down outside....was quite relaxing.......

Then as the law of sod dictates, there's a huge puddle in the kitchen and water coming through the ceiling. Not sure if it's rain or a leak from the bathroom...shall go take the bath panel off and see what's going on...but first.....caffine!

Morning Luc, Bluekaw and Claire :hello:

Well, it's sort of rainy here too but I feel a bit better this morning. I had a long hard chat with hubby last night about my career and think I have made a decision, so I feel better about that, just having done that - but now is the time for action!

Thanks for the challenge Luc, okay soooooo:

Complete Level 1 of today's Fly Lady tasks (on the Old Style board) or 15mins of ironing This is a good one! I have never gone onto that board so it will be something new. I did a massive blitz when I got home from yesterday but I am sure I can still find loads more to do!
Make your OH/kids feel special (even more so than usual) I am going to make hubby a tarte au chocolat this evening for dessert
Put that extra 1p in the savings/debt payment pot No probs
Jog on the spot for 5mins (or dance to fave song) Well, I sprinted for 5 minutes to the bus this morning! But I will also do some dancing and walking too.
Be good to yourself and have 15mins 'me time' every 3 hours I am going to a pick your own farm today at lunchtime and I plan to have a nice cup of tea in about an hour's time

Thanks for this Luc - how you doing today? How was the workout?

Claire - how was the wedding?

Bluekaw - I am exactly the same! Yesterday when I went out to do the shopping I saw a good deal on some cheese which was 41p cheaper than what I had budgeted for and I was so chuffed - couldn't wait to get home and put it in my piggybank. So if you're sad - so am I!! :D

Hope you sort your leak ok Pookie.

Been up since 5am - weary now but off to work I go.
  • Morning everyone,

Sorry not been around much recently, took a long weekend and typically I was ill!! Managed to drag my tired achey ar%e into work and will no doubt fall alseep at my desk later on.

Claire, how was the wedding at the weekend?

Pooky, poor you with the leak and I don't blame you for having a coffee first.

Luc, I will make my OH feel special and put 1p into the savings pot. The 15 minutes of me time will be spent curled up on the sofa later with some rock road cheesecake!

    Booky, morning.

Time to plough through the emails!

    Lots of love and hugs,

    Morning!

We filled the car with the new Shell "goes further" petrol and got about 40 miles more from the tank. Made sure we used the cheapest source and on the way home from work so no extra miles looking for cheap fuel! ;)

Planning a NSD today as I'm still not feeling great so sofa day number 2. Hope that will give me the boost to carry on having them!

Reading more of the challenges and things others have done, beginning to get inspired but still a wee bit scared to tot up my debt!!

    Off to read some more!

the wedding was fab!! i've never been to such a fun wedding before, i think the bride and groom must have reverted back to their childhood lol, they had a mr whippy icecream machine with loads of sweets everyone were like big kids lol. there were balloons and bubbles on all the tables, everyone was blowing them up and letting them fly around the room lol.

they said they wanted a bouncy castle too, but couldn;'t cause of health and safety, i put pics up on the weekend.
