Long lasting lip gloss that won't dry lips

I'm looking for a long lasting gloss that stays put and is moisturising. Has anyone a view on Clinique long last glosswear? I have practically lived in MAC lipglass for years but having long hair it's not very practical as my waves are pretty much attached to my lips the minute I step outside so I'm on the lookout for something less sticky.
I did try a MAC long lasting lip product but it has to be the most awful thing ever. The colour lasts well but it dries my lip so much I'm chewing the flaking bits off within a few hours so there is no danger of me buying that again.
I don't wear any other make up, other than some fake tan so I tend to favour neutral shades - any recommendations welcome.

Hi, I think the Clinique Glosswear is good but my hair still sticks to it. To me its not long lasting but I've yet to find a lipgloss that is really. I am now looking at cheaper options though.0

I have never found a long lasting lip gloss. I re-apply mine every 1/2 to 1 hour. It's because it just sits on the lips and doesn't stain them lip a lipstick does.
If you don't want to kepp re-applying, the best thing for moisturising lips is good old fashioned vaseline. You can even get one now with a pink tink (looks lovely with a tan). Really cheap too.0 -
I use the Clinique long-lasting one and although it does last longer than some others I´ve tried, if you eat or drink it comes off quite quickly. A beautician once told me that no lipglosses last long and if you really need staying power, it´s best to colour in your lips completely with a lip pencil and then put gloss on top. Sounds like a hassle for me but I guess it would be worth it for a special occasion.0

I never go anywhere without my little tin - i think it's great. I didn't realise the pink tin was actually tinted though so I'll try that. It's certainly the money saving option!0 -

I'd agree with this- the reason lip gloss needs to be reapplied is that it never actually dries. If it were to dry it would either be matte or would set like varnish (so your lips wouldn't be able to move). I'm no expert but I'd place bets on real long staying power gloss does not exist (unless you don't mind the nair varnish idea!)
Try a lip pen- Stila used to do these, not sure who else does. It looks like a felt tip pen, you colour in your lips, it stays put pretty well. Unfortunetly if you apply gloss over the top it will shift but used alone does hold up well to most things.0 -
how about the body shop lipstain (free with Instyle magazine this month) i don't know if it's drying though as not tried it yet.). or the clinique moisturising lipbalm which are tinted. i have the benefit lipgloss (won in Flake competition), and i love how it is not sticky at all nor drying.0

The best gloss-type product I have ever used is, without question, Fyrinnae's Lip Lustres. Completely smooth, non-sticky, natural, great shade range, and vegan. They will not, however, stand up to eating/drinking, so a mini to keep in your bag is a good idea - however, I've never found a gloss which didn't wear off my lips after a couple of hours, so I tend to wear them with stain underneath if I know I'm not going to be able to do repairs.
Fyrinnae's website is offline at the moment but I have used them with no problems at all in the past - it's worth buying $20 of goods for the free international shipping and their eyeshadow samples are also cracking good value."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -

Thanks for this tip - I bought a tin in ASDA yesterday, a bargain at £1.88. It does give a lovely light clear rosy pink tint, and I reckon with this and the clear variety, all my lip gloss wishes are fulfilled!Seems to last longer than the more expensive brands as well.

I use a lip liner/pencil and apply Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream and this for me lasts for a bit, but no were near what you call long lasting. Its pricey but i use it for all sorts and it lasts forever and its the only lip stuff i've found that stops my dry lips0
