Hi,
I hope this is the right place to post. I am hoping to take my husband on a surprise balloon flight for his 40th birthday. Can anyone recommend a company for something like this ..... I can get to surrey, london, kent and sussex. Any discounts would be even better!!!
Thank you:beer:

Argos have a Red Letter type experience day for a hot air trip, it has a good discount but not sure how that compares to other prices. It does need to be used buy the end of 2010 though.0

Hi im sure i saw something in the Metro free paper a few weeks ago about Virgin balloon flights on offer for half price.I think it was on the metro.co.uk/virginballoons website.
Thought about this for my husbands 40th a few weeks ago but then decided to book him a surprise shark diving experience day which he loved:T0 -
What normally happens is you buy a voucher from one of these companies that is usually valid for 6 or 12 months ....ballooning is very dependant on the weather conditions so you may find that you wont actually be able to have a flight on the particular day of his birthday...my sister was given a voucher and in the end it took 3 attempts to have the flight as the wind was always a factor...too much..not enough etc....she had a great time although she didnt manage the flight for a couple of months after her actual birthdayfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

You can go on hot air ballon trips from Leeds castle in Kent.

I don't know how the prices compare but Leeds castle is a lovely place to visit and you could make a day of it.0 -

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a company for something like this .....
You can do price comparison on this for your local area on this page:

Hover over the map and it will pop up a box you can put your post-code in. Then the table shows you the nearest venue for each of the balloon rides on offer.0 -
I also had someone come in shopping where I work and I think it was their 3rd failed attempt at a balloon flight. She was really fed up by this point and just wanted a refund she said as it was the third time of booking a day off work, getting excited then being dissappointed and having to do something else with the day so it didnt feel a waste, but she was told it was 5 fails before they got a refund. So do consider it carefully.... that being said I bet its an amazing experience!0
