I Wanna:Times newspaper vouchers

Buying my Sunday Times this morning I noticed my neighbour 'paying' for his copy with a voucher. When I asked him about this he said he bought a book of vouchers for £48 a year which gave him free copies of the daily Times (50p?), the Saturday Times (70p?) and the Sunday Times (£1.40) for a full year. That's an estimated saving of around £180!
Even if, like me, you only buy The Sunday Times, it's still a saving of £25.
He claimed he couldn't remember the finer details of the voucher scheme or how he came to be on it. He's been getting his newspapers this way for four years. It sounds a bit like my mum, who reads the Telegraph. I forget how much she pays for her years supply of vouchers, but it's a big saving.
Does anyone know about these deals? I did a google search but found nothing except a not particularly interesting, short term free deal for students.

My mother gets this. She pays the equivalent of £1.50 a week quarterly and also got a £25 wine voucher included. The bad news is that they contacted her to offer it rather than the other way round. The vouchers cover 7 days a week.
The good news for me is that she dosen't read the Sunday times so she sends me all the vouchers.
The vouchers are for named days so you can't use them all to buy Sunday times - if you only bought that you would lose 20p per week
A really good offer if you but these papers anyway as the Sunday Times is £1.30 on it's own (in Scotland anyway)0 -
I rec. Times by subscription and yes it works out very cheap. Suggest you call the subs line 0800 85 45 47. I rec. an offer thru the post but was to prev. owner so I called and blagged my way thru. Said even tho I had diff name shouldn't really make any difference. So I was able to get the discount PLUS £25.00 in wine vouchers - very nice. You could say member of your family rec. this and quote this code MAB000 1070403 it's worth a try. Good luck!0

If you don't manage to get the paper every day, try passing barcoded newspaper vouchers off at Tesco - I regularly manage to get 40, 70, or 90p off (depending on the day) my groceries by just proffering them at the autocheckout; it doesn't seem to matter that they're a month out of date.0
