Bodycream to match perfume

Hi, please can anyone tell me if using a matching bodycream helps the scent of your perfume to last longer? I need some perfume for my wedding day but was wondering if to help boost the scent it might be worth buying the bodycream as well. I don't normally bother so have no idea if it makes a difference.

Moisturised skin holds fragrance better, full stop! Do an experiment - moisturise your wrist, leave for a couple of minutes, and spray perfume onto each wrist. Then have a good old sniff in a couple of hours to see which one lasts the longest.
If you use a moisturiser with the same scent it will make the scent stronger, and will also help it to last longer.
If you use a regular moisturiser it will last longer but the scent of it may compete with your perfume. If you want to go down this route use an unscented one.Two thumbs fresh!:money:0 -
Using a body lotion the same fragrance as your perfume will strengthen the scent, as you're layering the scent. If you just spray perfume on the back of one hand, then on the other put body lotion on first followed by your perfume you'll deffo notice the difference
I get paid to smell great :j0 -
Yes, it will intensify the effect and increase its durability. As will using matching shower gel. That's why loads of fragrance houses create the coffrets at Christmas with all three in them, so you get the full effect for as long as possible!0

Hi,
I buy an unscented body lotion and then spray my perfume with it. It is so much cheaper than buying the ones to match, especially if you have more than one perfume. I use 2 pumps of lotion to 1 spray of perfume in the palm of your hand. I'm sure if you liked a little stronger then more sprays especially if you would like it to last all day.

oo thanks for that tip lostkelly will try that with some unscented lotion im trying to use up..
ive also heard but never tried that if you apply vaseline on ur skin, then spray over that, it makes the scent last longer.
You could also buy a mini version of your perfume or decant some into an atomiser to keep in your handbag and reapply over the day when you freshen your makeupWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.
