If it realy seems too much to do at once.... I highly recomend visiting flylady.com and starting to do a '27 Fling boogie' I know it sounds mad but she takes you through baby steps to de clutering and its fab... my life is starting to get organised!!!
if you don't want to read through the site my baby steps would be as follows:
1. Put aside 1 hour (an d one hour only) then you do't feel like you will be trapped for hours
2. Aim to take out 27 items nd out into the following piles:Rubbish, charity or freecycle and sell
3. Take each pile one at a time and action i.e. charity stuff put in car to drop off next time you are out, rubbish in bin liners, selling stuff clean and list ready to ebay!!!!
4. If 27 items can;t be done in an hour. Stop take a break and finish but only allow yourself one more hour (set a timer if you have to)
5. only do a maximum of one lot of 27 items a day (you don't need to do this every day) it may take you a few weeks but you'll get there without feeling like it took hours of your time.julybride
