Thanks for all your kind messages xxNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
Hi all, whew what a scorcher, where was that sun hiding before?
Hope today went well catmiaow - make sure you check in and let us know how it went.
Today I have / will:
1) Worked until lunch time - just three more working days til I have two weeks off - then start my new job. :j
2) Went to the beach for a couple of hours to meet young T who went with his cousins and Aunties. Tried not to have kittens watching him wading out up to his chest. Managed to park in the street so it was a free afternoon out.
3) Went to Lidl and did the weekly shop.Spent just £28 thanks to my over stocked Approved Food cupboards.
4) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc. My new Virgin CC statement was online and there was no interest - my balance for that one is now officially zero!
5) All meals from stores.
6) Hokey cokey drying in the sun.
7) Will do another coat of paint on my bookcase in a bit. I sanded it between coats yesterday and took more paint off than I bargained for - serves me right for trying to do it 'properly' - grr.
8) Chase up Ebay seller who hasn't sent my item three weeks after the auction ended. She was on holiday, but I think enough time has passed now.
If she is up to it I can hopefully pop round my friend's and meet her new baby. ( The one who I was babysitting for at the weekend when she was labouring). She delivered a bouncing baby boy on Saturday night and called him Reuben. Can't wait to meet him, he looks absolutely gorgeous!
Have a good evening, L x0 -
Fay - you must be happy to have your kids back home - 42 days is a long time! Can't believe they go back to school in the middle of august. Do you break-up earlier in Scotland or do you not have a 6 week holiday in the summer?0

Evening all :j
Hope the new job went ok Cat?
We had a lovely day yesterday, as my 2 little grand daughters were christened in their lovely village church, then we had a family party afterwards at DD1's lovely home. It was beautiful weather, and such a nice day
Worked at home today as I had to do something that required a LOT of reading, hence needed quiet. Made the most of it, as I saved 2 hours or thereabouts of travel time (to say nothing of the £5 for the station car park :T
Got my work tasks done (and more besides), and used the extra time by:
checked online banking - as expected
read news online
washing on line to dry
seen to plants and animals
DD2 bought a crate of over-ripe tomatoes for 50p on Sunday morning (before christening) from a market stall holder. He then gave her several crates of lettuces and bananas  some of which we have ended up with. So, I have been making banana cakes and lettuce soup, and salad for tea (of course). Chooks have enjoyed some lettuces, but I fear more banana cakes and lettuce soup to be made tomorrow after work
Chopped up some mushrooms bought at weekend and not used and froze them
Walked small dogs and prevented #2 from losing her tennis ball in the long grass (thus avoiding having to buy her another one - she is obsessed).
Off to finish off jobs - OH will be very late back from work tonight  He doesn't need it!0
