Sign up to e-music through a cashback site and get 25 free downloads for a 14-day trial.

Through Topcashback you get £6 cashback for a subscription or £4 for the trial.

I like e-music. Easy to use, nice varied selection of music, good for me who like a lot of American soul stuff you can't always get on i-tunes or Amazon.

Only drawback is that their catalogue isn't as extensive as i-tunes or Amazon, but still good.

And if you cancel your subscription at any time, they often e-mail to offer you loads of free downloads if you come back! The last e-mail they sent me offered me 75 free downloads if I came back.
Big thanks to Martin Lewis for helping us start to sort out our finances!!!:A

    Best Comp win:X-Box 360!!

And thank you to all posters! You're wonderful!

You have to put your card details in (as with most, if not all trials). Then you cancel on day 14 so nothing to pay. (Or if you are chicken like me cancel as soon as you've downloaded your tracks ;))

I did this trial a couple of years ago and had no probs with cancelling, just keep a copy of the email they send you just in case. They are on Quidco for the same money too.

Emusic 50 free tracks (useful if you are not on a cashback site and would prefer the tracks)

Nice idea, I noticed they are partners with e-music, not a fan of remembering to cancel the subscription, remember to cancel as close to 12 days as possible!

Gnv, did you receive the email from them saying your account was cancelled? I seem to remember it said somewhere in the T&Cs that it wasn't cancelled until they'd sent out an email. I was a member a few years ago and cancelled without a problem, but I did have to hassle emusic for an email to say so.

If it was a choice between drinking bleech or having anything to do with eMusic, I'd start gulping down the Harpic. Emusic are a bunch of no good thieves.

Never ever had any problem with them myself. Always cancelled when I've wanted and offered lots of free downloads to rejoin - which I did for a few months and then cancelled again. No problems each time.
