You wont get exactly the same wine in the supermarkets.

The shiraz is a good shiraz so it would cost at least £4.99 even on an offer - usual price would be around £5.99 - £7.99. A decent rioja would cost at least £4.99 up to around £8.99. Not sure about pinot grigio as it is not something I normally buy. WIth wine it is difficult to compare - just because a wine is selling at £1.99 doesnt make it a bargain if it tastes like vinegar. (Conversely, a wine that costs £8.99 isnt necessarily a good buy if it isnt very good. I am pretty sure though that the three wines being sold on this promotion do represent good value and you would be pushed to get anything as good for this price even in the tesco sales).

Laithwaites (who ultimately own the Sunday Wine Club) do sell decent wine on the whole. I think £1.99 for something that is more than just drinkable is hard to beat. My OH was chatting to someone who works at Laithwaites a couple of months ago and they said that this sort of promotion is a loss leader - the idea is to hook you in to buy more cases in the future.

I think you have to cancel both otherwise in 3 months they will send some more wine (I think they write to let you know before they send you a case out)
