    if you work full time - he wont get much apart from JSA, IB or IS depending on circumstances.

    And for you to say he might not return to work atall - thats a bit premature. What medical condition does he have? IF it is serious, and it has made him disabled then DLA could be an option - but since you never stated anything in your OP i cant say if he is entitled.
