Just had my Credit Report (CCJ Advice).....
B34RDY
I am new around here.
i have been going recently to get a mobile phone and got refused.
So got my self a Credit Report from CreditExpert.
Everything look perfect apart from a CCJ which i have no idea what its about, from what i think its for a parking ticket because of the court it was processed at.
Information type: Judgment
Date: 01/02/2005
Court: NORTHAMPTON COUNTY COURT
Amount: £235
Now what i am after knowing is.......
- I read CCJ's are on your file for 6 years IF this is still unpaid will it still clear off my credit rating in 6 months?
- If i pay the fine WILL it come off still in 6 months or will i have to wait another 6 years?
Whats the best way to play this one? I do not need any credit until Mid next year.......
Any advice welcome

In theory it could be re-registered. Can't ever recall a creditor bothering to try though.
So yes, in 99% of cases it will come off.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

If you've never received any correspondence about it, in theory you could just forget about it and then in six months it falls off your credit report. However whether you think this is morally right or not is up to you.
Not just parking tickets are processed at Northampton, lots of other things are too, it could be anything. It might be worth you calling the court with the case number and asking what it is regarding, it might be an error and you may not owe the money at all, in which case it might be worth fighting to get it removed from your report because it was added in error. But like you said you don't need any credit until May next year so it's not causing you any problems right now. If it turns out you do owe the money it's up to you whether you pay it or not.0
