Over 25% discount achieved at Asda!

:money:I followed the available coupons list on here and printed out over £5 in varying 30p upwards amounts. Then cross referenced with mysupermarket to see what was on offer before heading off to Asda tonight.

With my normal shopping, multibuys plus slight switching such as Bran flakes for cheerios, I reduced the bill from £42 to £30! I didn't try to use obvious coupons such as £1 off nappies when I'm not buying them but I did use most of the coupons for alternative goods from the relevant manufacturer.

The kingsmill 50p coupon for example works with both the half loaf it was intended for and the full size seeded loaf which is on offer this week. So, twice the amount of bread for 50p.

I've never really used coupons before but definately will now.

Am I right in thinking you printed the coupons from the list on here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2550471 ? If so couldn't you have at least thanked Sher60 who spends a great deal of time making sure the list is kept up to date so that you can make savings like you just have:(

How mean! This is a new user (only 2 posts) who has chosen to share their experiences with us all. To be honest, I would expect anyone new to these forums to take a while to get to know all the features, including the 'Thanks' button.

As times this can be a very unwelcoming site.

Well done by the way soapstud - you'll already managed to avoid one of the big pitfalls, which is buying things simply because of a coupon. Good luck with your future purchases.

Can i ask if you had any problems with the self printed coupons. I went on supersavvey me printed off the ariel stain 2 pound coupons and got them REfused at tesco, so am a bit wary to try asda with coupons.

I use the coupons at Asda and the only problem I have had is that any more than 6 coupons need authorising by a checkout superviser/key overide, but that is whether it is internet or non internet coupons. I have a letter from Asda HO saying they accept internet coupons. If you get any problems in Asda ask them to ring HO.
Be careful with the supersaveme coupons though as a lot of them are for Tesco only.

thank you i have complained to tesco saying supersavveyme are giving them a bad name my saying they accept them
