  • Just looking at your SOA - there doesn't appear to be a budget for food?

  • Ive paid 2315.00 off my NatWest card with my savings and transferred 1025.00 from my NatWest card to my MBNA card.

My situation is now (or will be when everything is sorted):

NatWest: 0.00 (maybe a final bit of interest to pay?)

    MBNA: 3884.00

    Savings: 472.00

My thinking is to leave the NatWest card open and see if they will give me a better interest rate than MBNA in January.

Does anyone else think this is the best option?

Very good - as soon as your low MBNA rate finishes move your balance as quickly as possible. Nat West may not be the best option, but try bargaining with them by telling them you are being tempted by other zero rate BT offers.

  • I will try that when the time comes.

I have had a few problems in getting accepted for further credit cards,
I panicked as my initial 0% periods began run out on my MBNA and NatWest cards and stupidly applied for several other cards and was turned down.

Although, this will have undoubtedly hampered my credit rating, do you think that this may have rectified itself by the time my interest rate is to increase in January, and i may be able to apply for the better 0% cards?

Alternatively, do you think I should, at the risk of been rejected and damging my credit rating further, apply for a 0% card now (after cancelling NatWest card?) and transfer the balance from my MBNA card?
