Are you keeping it for yourself or giving it to someone for a present? :)

I'm going to be keeping it :o I've had my current laptop for a few years now and it does get a lot of use so it will be useful to have a spare since the laptop won't last forever..... I'm not sure what the averare 'life span' is for a laptop. Anyone know?

My first laptop survived for 5 years, until I saved too much data on it, and gave it a nervous breakdown. :o

This one has lasted 2 years, but it has to be tweaked twice in the last six months, but it is still cheaper than getting a new one.

This one is nearly 4 years old. It's ok apart from the screen sometimes goes a bit funny when I first switch it on.

It's probably all those millions of comps that you post Laks that gave it the nervous breakdown :p
