Welcome HeartOfGold. I just enter what I want to enter when I get chance. Dont enter as many as I used to (too busy chatting ). You could enter just one though & still win it so there's no certain ammount to win a prize.

Had a nice day out with the kids today. DD wanted to spend her £15 she won at Claire's accessories. They had a good offer on of 5 items for £5 so she got 15 items, when we totalled what they would cost separate it come to over £60! A great bargain all round! I also give her £2 back & she got a teddy & bag that I put away for her sis for xmas.

Had a really >?? day I don't know what happened to my head but I was cleaning up from 10 -4 today :eek::eek::eek: on top of the fridge, inside the freezer, under the cupboards, under the sink, washing, cooking, mopping etc you name it

The meal I cooked was awful I bought lamb shanks and cooked them in red wine, tomato paste, rosemary, parsley and caraway seeds in a slow cooker alongside some vegetables...but could not have a bite of it don't know what happened to me just couldn't, it's hard when you have cooked it ..ended up having parsley, bread and brie which I thoroughly enjoyed

Then had 3 winners (wrote the prices down at the bookies): Twice Over at 15-2 Russian War 16-1 and Clerk's choice at 20-1 but I grouped them with losers ..did a horse on its own £5 EW on Waiter's Dream single (early price was 80-1) and it came 4th :eek::eek::eek: they only counted first 3 ...exact same hapened with Nabah and he came 4th 50-1 early price URGH asked OH if he wanted me to put a bet on Wolverhampton (evening races) for him, he said ok 'Lord of the Dance' then I got cold and did not go out (I know I sound 85 not 33) but anyway his horse won

Right...moan over
having a reseve red and will catch up with some comps now ...

Your meal sounds lovely, at least you put all the effort in & I bet your OH loved it. You're so thoughtful. :A

My MIL only visited once without warning when we had just moved in here - we were working full time - trying to frame & sheet celings , working on the house till 2am every night & all weekend dropping with exhaustion & she made a catty coment 'cos our lunch dishes were on the draining board (washed but not put away) I was up a ladder holding nails & a hammer & holding a sheet of gyprock up for OH at the time.
I made them tea & as the were leaving told them to phone first next time as it wasn't a good idea to just walk into the house of a young couple who had just moved in together as they might get embarrased

that was they last time we ever got 'suprise visitors'

My MIL is always making catty remarks....she's still not forgiven me for marrying her baby.
Even when I'd just given birth to my 10lb 03 oz turkey she came up the hospital & said I was still fat! Then she waited till I went to toilet before taking a 'family' photo
