When dupes are being merged, are the duplicates being deleted? This is an example I have just found http://forum.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2903654
The Dupe link takes me back to the same OP. I came across another one similar earlier0 -

I assume the OP of a dup can delete their post once it has been merged and is no longer a "thread starter". That is presumably what has happened here as the other 2 posts from the dup remain and have been added to the original thread, if dup threads were just being deleted they would have gone as well.0 -

I'd say you are right mjm3346.I have commented on members doing this in the past & voiced my concern.All the members that have entered via the deleted post run the risk of entering again.
Maybe some people wish to cover their tracks when they have posted a dupe.
Whilst not been pleased when I have posted a dupe I have never deleted the link.I "kill" the link & add "DUPE " to the title to warn others.0 -
This was the reason I brought it up weeowen. I am very far behind on the board atm but have no way of checking if I've already entered via the dupe.0
