  • Helloooooooo All,
    Baby - great news!
Em - glad you had a great time with the carol singing.
    Epicman - welcome :)

waves and huggles to everyone else!!!!

Well, this has been a weird week had a bit of a week from hell with a wedding order that I was working on, but I blame myself for not giving myself enough time to do things a proper job. Don't get me wrong, they look great but I made a bundle of stupid errors so I was not best pleased with myself at all. Have found a good solution to fix it - but working through the night was a killer!!!

I thought I would lose my marbles. But, my mum was amazing - she helped me stuffing envelopes so I don't know what I would have done without her :) So, glad that I had 4 days off I would have been up doo doo creek without the extra time to finish.

On the brightside something amazing happened got given £100 for xmas from one of the companies in my building which is amazing!!! I couldn't believe it when they said it wasn't much - I thought it was fantastic!!! So, that is going straight into my fund for the £11,000 - so just £10,900 left to go!!!! Woop Woop

As for me feeling like a bit of a saddo as I am so used to my x factor fest... so instead I am pulling out every single bill, invoice, and receipt to calculate what my debt figure is and where I can make savings.

I will also be going around with a box and collecting all the stuff that I need to sell in the new year on ebay so that weill help. I feel quite positive overall and feel so happy to get my pressie. I just need to work on saving as much as I can and getting more out of my business next year!

Woohoo Dilli!! You are sounding so positive, fantastic!! hugs hun xx

Evening to everyone else :) Strange day today as our fantastic headmistress retired - we are very lucky to have a fantastic infant school which has a'children learn through play' approach which is brill, and the kids love it. I know the Governors did everything in their power to recruit someone who would carry on the excellent work but it is still scary! I remember the first day and being told that their is a school uniform which children are expected to wear BUT if one day a child want to wear fancy dress to school that is fine too - as they would rather have them in school ready to learn than not. Fantastic for us as my DS had a phobia about buttons for the first 18months of school and refused to wear a his school polo shirt, so instead he wore the school T-shirt and nobody batted an eyelid. (Completely different from the local Catholic infant school round the corner wear a 5 year old has to wear a blazer, shirt and tie - I wouldn't have got my DS to school at all then! ) All the teachers were crying by the end of the school christmas carol concert ....... she will be missed.
Life is a work in progress

Dilli that's brilliant, and maybe making those mistakes will help you in the future somehow? Thank god for mums eh, mum-in-law in my case, I managed to get three bin liners full of stuff to the charity shop (haven't got patience for Ebaying and most of it wasn't worth it anyway) and while I went and got my hair done she put my Christmas tree up! Haven't actually missed the OH yet - his hours are such that I sometimes don't see him for a day and a bit anyway and tbh I'm enjoying the freedom to just get on and do what I want. We've got friends who've come back from Canada for Christmas and I'm going for a meal with them tomorrow night, going to try dragging the kids round clothes shops today - should be a nightmare as they like to hide in clothes rails! OH had some good news - his grading at work has been put up - he had to fight to get it changed as they were trying to fob him off when he was doing duties beyond his allotted grade. So we'll get a bit of the owed wages reimbursed in January, just when you want it isn't it! Yay :)
Hope everyone's OK? Baby, I worry sometimes about M&P too, she was great on here wasn't she? She pops up on my FB thingy sometimes and I hope she's OK.
Elly, did you get the Sulkies OK? xx
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
  • Baby - good thinking about M&P, ditto from me!
Nixi - all we can hope is that the next head builds on the work from the past fingers crossed for the future!
Elly - glad that mum seems a bit happier too x
Paula - the mistakes were like a diploma from uni - just glad that I have learnt from it all. I will do better next time, just so lucky to have my mum she was totally, utterly and completely amazing :) Enjoy the meal with the friends tonight. Glad OH wages are getting sorted too! Hooray!!!!

Was sorting out website bits until the wee hours, got some design bits done and getting really excited about next year. More excited about next year than I am about actual Xmas. Also, I know this is about money saving and not spending but have you signed up for groupon or living social. I have been able to get some fantastic bits as pressies for people this Xmas.
