Linked Adresses?

How long do linked addresses stay on your credit file for? I have lots from well over 8 years ago.

Hi Das,
It shouldn't be any longer than 8 years, if its Experian, so it's worth checking again and sending them a letter if you want/need them to drop off. Apparently they don't affect your credit rating, though.

Just looking on a credit forum - seems that you can write to Experian (or whoever) and ask them to remove linked addresses "usually" after 6 years but that is a bit hit and miss according to posters....worth a try though?

mines been on 18 years with Equifax which i paid £2 and downloaded from internet in may this year.

funny thing is though the one i Paid £2 for by post shows no linked address that was only three months earlier.
