247 cashline

I recently searched for a loan for people with bad credit and although I didn't complete the application I have had a call from this company saying they will give me the loan but need the 1st month's payment in advance, £312, by moneygram.
I need to borrow £25000 to pay off credit cards which are costing me £650 a month but the amount I owe isn't decreasing.
Has anyone out there used this company or this method before?

You sure about the amount/company - it looks to me that 247 Cashline are payday loans

(and whoever it is asking for money upfront - steer clear)

  • yes that's what I thought when I searched for them after phone call but the credit ref no. they gave me matches the payday loan one, although the man with the Indian accent said his name was David Bond! Thought it was too good to be true but desperate times!

if they are happy to give you money, why on earth would you have to send them money? Why wouldn't they just deduct it from the total they are sending you?

if it isn't logical, it's a scam. Most loan companies add any fees etc to the total loan amount..

    run away.

embecer - It is simply obvious from your posts that you ARE NOT going to get a loan AT ALL....

You are in the awkward position of being in amongst the worst of the worst.
You are now known to all the bottom feeders, they will be queuing up to get in touch with you to "solve all your problems"

You are going to get calls from people GUARANTEEING your loan, everything you need at a fantastic rate.

All you need to do is supply your bank account details "just to confirm you have a bank account"
It is not going to happen, they will take money out of your account.

Hell will freeze over before you get a loan of £25,000

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS OVER THE PHONE!!!

I hate to point out the obvious, but a loan with first payment up-front by moneygram

Smells more scammy than a tin of extra spicey spam.

I have never heard of any reputable lender asking for an advance month's payment at all, let alone by moneygram! Please don't fall for this.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

You would be very hard pushed to get a loan for £25k if you had a stunning credit rating nowadays, unless you own a home.

It is so obviously a scam and just like others search "fiesta loans" on here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2107613 , it is a moneygram to India, then they will ask you for more and more, until you realise that you have no loan and at the best £325 down, maybe after a few more payments £1000 + down.

If you are serious about your debt, post over on the debt free wanabee section of the forums, your exact financial situation. There are many over there, who can offer support/advice about getting yourself debt free.

I feel horrible saying this but I have dealt with both of these companies.

24/7 cashline still send me texts to this day stating I have been pre-approved for a £750 loan but this "David Bond" isn't too sure of his own name as everytime he called my mobile his name would be either David, Michael or Philip and yes he did mention the moneygram and swore at me when I said no chance but then he did get a lot of abuse back from me.

Unsec-loan.net are almost as bad. They are a broker and when they don't find you a loan then say you cant have your fee back as when you agreed to get a loan you agreed that in the event that they cant find you a loan they can keep the fee for their "services" which is basically doing f*** all

    Don't be fooled by them
