Google checkout

Approved Foods requires this form of payment as an alternative to Paypal.I have a Paypal account but do not know how to top-up.I presume a credit card is involved.Is the Google option similar please and if not how does one open such an account

Hi

With google checkout, you put your details in once when you open your account (for example your debit card) then when you pay through google checkout it comes off your card. (if that makes sense?)

So its secure for you as the retailer doesnt see your card details because you have already set them up with google checkout.

You dont need to top up, it just comes off your card each time you make a purchase like normal.

if it's has to have a google account to using the google checkout? may I use other email address to open a google checkout account? for example yahoo email? thank you.

Approved Foods advised me yesterday when I enquired about a recent order that they cancelled that they NO LONGER accept payment by google

I only signed up for a google mail a/c for Approved Foods and have not used it for any other suppliers, however it is good, safe and secure as far I as I can tell and I certainly trust it more than Paypal who seem to make the rules up as they go along

I hope they change their mind because I use googlepay and never ever use pay pal for anything ever...:eek:
