That's really good, is it the listed games u can trade in, as we have older ones here that are just gathering dust?
  • I noticed the tesco website has a find a store page which includes preowned games as an option.

When I tried swindon the main tescos extra came up so I will try them later.
  • tbh the best trade in on games tends to be from CEX. We took some to Gamestation the other week and they offered £12 took them next door to CEX and they gave us £29 for the SAME games! :)

It is really title dependant. Don't forget Cex give either cash or voucher. Cash at Cex for the 3 titles I check from the supplied list was less than the Tesco credit while the Cex credit was higher.
I am pretty sure tesco's credit only option is the best value. After all I can't eat or fuel my car with Cex Credit.
Don't forget that gamestation and game are pretty tight most of teh time anyway lol

Thanks for the info. Is it just these games that you have listed or are their other titles included as well.

you do know that gamestation beat higher trade prices by £1 per title dont you? I always get a cex trade price quote off their website, print it off an take it into gamestation then have them beat each trade in price.

Thanks yes I did, HMV has started doing it too :)

My point was that with all the games places your forced to spend it on new\used games and other electronics in the case of Cex.

However with Tesco if your down sizing your games collection or just want rid of a game you will get more in Tesco credit than cash from the other places which you could buy a pack of nappies to a bottle of wine with.

A bit cynical but for some people it's better to feed the family with games traded to a supermarket than take out payday loans or worse.

Tesco do take other titles, the only way to find out is to take it in and ask them to check. It's only Wii, DS, PS3 & 360 games though and not all.

As mentioned above Asda is starting too. Hopefully the competition will get them all clamouring for your games with good prices.

It is all very well getting slightly better exchange prices from cex, but then you are forced to spend the credit there.

I find that their selling prices are really high for what they have - I often can buy new (and of course perfect condition) for less than cex charge for often tatty second-hand stuff.

Yet another reason to use the supermarkets for pre-owned, you can buy new kit :)
