update and information on Reliable collections

Up date, we got a phone call. with(reliable collections) JDWilliams, some one paid £87.00 into the account, a cheque, which we know it is not us, but l think they have investigated it, and found we are not owing the charges so they refunded us, we owe £53.62; one caller the other day said do not worry we are straight with them.
Then today, someone called he said, can we make a payment, l said, we got the statement stating the payment, they want another £7.40, or a direct debit, Which l think its a no no, cos we never know when its due etc.. I said hubby not in, and l cannot make that choice for him, as he has the only card, etc. Any way we been offered £35.00 full and finial settlement, which still bit of a cheek.

They said they only keep records up to six months only. They cannot trace any other details, lot of b*ll .. we not got a cca, yet. but l would not be surprise if they do not send one. It is worth to get them off our backs, Also l am going to back this up with a letter stating we paid, the said money, they not to chase us for any more. I think we would have the bill as proof of it. when we pay it... ty for ur advice, very best wishes lindann

    Hi Lindann,

It's good your finally getting this issue resolved. Regarding the offer of £35 as a full and final, I'd make a counter offer and see how you get on (maybe £20), but only if you want an end to this.

Good luck in whatever you decide
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!
