Help I've got a Zander

  • I heard today that it is the only fish in the canal that you are allowed to kill, and that it is positivley encouraged.

    They aren't a native species to this country which is why they are frowned alot upon.

    I'm not sure whether the same rules apply to canals but on rivers there is a set quota on what co!!!! fish and how many you are allowed to take per day. However most privately/club owned stretches implement a catch and release policy only.

    Thats got nothing to do with how to cook it but thought I would mention it anyway! :rotfl:

    apparantly you are allowed to kill zander. Not that I have. If you are interested wefilleted it and baked it in parsley and butter. It was very nice., and if another comes my way it will certainly get a good home.
