Everything went almost to plan! The Gardens were fantastic and the photographer too, the photo's I've uploaded so far are from a disc of around 200 photos! I'll upload more as I have time.
The hotel was a bit of a let down, the champagne reception wasn't ready and we had to have it on the terrace bar but it didn't dampen the mood at all and we all had a great time - I'm waiting for other pics to show the 'pool party' in full swing! It was exactly the day they wanted and that's all that matters.
The 'cheeky chappy' up dd's dress is her 'man of honour' who was endeavouring to tie up her train and getting rather hot and flustered doing it!
The flowers were silk orchids and cala lillies bought from a seller called 'white ribbons' on ebay again fab service.
Linda, thank you so much! I didn't see what I looked like until I saw the photo's as we got changed in dd's friends house and there wasn't a mirror in the spare room! I hadn't planned on wearing the hat as it was quite warm(!!!!) but my hair (which looked lovely in the hairdressers) just flopped and frizzed - hence the hat!
I'd bought heel stoppers for dd but not for me so she glided over the grass and I sank!!!!
It was a beautiful day in a beautiful setting and I would recommend Gibraltar the Almeda Gardens the Photo Centre and Cake Creations (who made the lightest sponge cake and yummiest marzipan I've ever tasted) to anyone.

The pictures are beautiful sal, your daughter looks every inch the beautiful bride, thanks for giving me the link in the other thread. Is the cake by Mandy and Kelvin? Looks fabulous i have them in my planning "bible" to use for when we're ready to book, did it taste as good as it looked? Cake is very important for me, the day is about the dress and the cake! ;)
What photographer did your daughter use? I've got the details for photocentre.gi, they look pretty good and fairly cheap, but would like a few more options.
Think i'm pretty set with having the caleta, emailed them earlier but i'm not expecting a response from them till tomorrow or after the weekend, i hear everything is pretty laid back over there?!
We're hoping for a date in late June early July 2012 just missing the school holidays, Gibraltar for a week and then Barcelona for a week, I dont think i'm able to book anything until probably January next year at the very earliest, not even the registrar?
I'm so pleased ive come across Gibraltar, i was about to spend thousands more going to mexico or somewhere, but this is so much more convinient and family friendly for those wanting to come without spending a fortune! Pity i've never been before but i'm sure i'll be more than pleased when the time comes!
About 99 weeks to go for my big day, it's going to go so slow!

    Hi blakey2b,
If you look back on the Gibraltar thread I think there's some pics from Kazmeister who got married at the caletta, if you pm her I'm sure she'll help you with anything to do with that hotel.
Kelvin and Mandy did indeed make the cake, they were sooo patient as my dd kept changing her mind but I can tell you that the vanilla sponge melted in the mouth and the marzipan was the best I'd ever tasted! I can highly recommend them.
I think my dd booked her wedding with 2 years to go but I can't remember if that was just the venue and then followed up later with the registrar! I know we sent the 'save the dates' out with more than 12 months to go.
We used the Photocentre and their pics are fab! We have a disc with over 200 very high quality pictures on that is raw data so we can do whatever we want with them. They are making a digital album for dd and I just can't wait to see it! Dd did look at a couple of others but the Photo centre just seemed to 'fit' IYKWIM.
We all stayed in Duquesa which is in Spain, about 40 minutes (or 30 if you're Spanish!lol) from Gibraltar but be aware of the queues for the border if you do decide to stay in Spain.
I can't recommend Gibraltar highly enough and as you say, it's so much cheaper than many destinations.
