has anyone received a phone call from Freedom Services? They called me on my mobile stating that they are connected to government and want to help everyone get debt down to paying £150 per month - something to do with not having to pay any more interest. Would be good if anyone has heard of this as they are phoning me back tonight. I was asked if I had debt of more than £7000 (which I have) and they need to know who I owe it to. Would like to hear from anyone regarding this before I give any details away. I 'googled' them but their site is under construction :cool:

Hi breezer, I've never heard of them, they sound well dodgy to me!!:eek: I certainly wouldn't give them any details at all about anything. Tell them to put it all in the post for your consideration, and you'll get back to them;)

I too have noticed this , maybe free advertiseing for them .

Thats what i thought mate , but recently there is a massive outbreak of posts , that i just cant take seriously

I am very disappointed with the remarks that have been made indicating that I posted the question as 'free advertising'. I thought the whole idea of this forum was to help ordinary people like me - I only wanted to know if anyone had received any calls like this in the past. I did try to google the company with no success so how can this be free advertising!!!!

Hi breeze, OK folks have been somewhat sceptical. You have arrived in the middle of Troll and Spammer season. If you have just come straight onto the forum then you won't realise, If you have lurked for a while you may have some idea of the reason for folk's scepticism?

I have never heard of the organisation you refer to. I have to say I would deeply mistrust any unsolicited approach from anyone offering help with your debts. There are a great number of these spam companies out there, new ones spring up each day.

There is nothing they can offer that you won't get on MSE for free. If it is a start up firm you can be sure that there will be more posts like this in the near future. Just watch this space.
