Apex demanding a financial statement

I've had a repayment plan with APEX fr one of my debts for nearly two years which has been running very smoothly. Every three months or so they phone and ask to review my payments. Now usually I tell them my situation hasn't changed and thats it. This time however the woman got very bolshy and demanded a financial statement then started using veiled threats about continuing my plan. When I challenged her on this she said she hadn't made threats and it was company policy to get a financial statement every three month (which is rubbish because they've never demanded one before). She then tried to force me to up my payments by £15 anyway again making vague threats about continuing the plan. In the end I told her to put the request in writing my plan is to write back and complain about her conduct on the phone and put it in writing that I can not increase payments without disclosing any other information. But I want to know if they have any right to demand this information (which includes requesting details on my other debts) and what they can do if I tell them where to stick the request (politely of course).

They have no right to demand a financial statement , just write back tell them you can not afford any more they may huff and puff for a while but nothing they can do .I've had a repayment plan with APEX fr one of my debts for nearly two years which has been running very smoothly. Hi
I don't really know about the company that you are using (that lady's attitude was not very proffessional though) and I am doing my own DMP and a few of my creditors do ask me for an update from time to time. I say nothing has changed and just send them an updated statement of affairs so they can see it is still the same. I think one asked for copies of my pay slips - i never sent them just the SOA and they seemed fine.
I can understand the need for a review but if there are no changes don't really understand what they want you to do?

Every now and again we get review letters and I just phone them and say nothing has changed and that's it, till the next review. I've never been asked for an updated SOA though. I've got the "original" on a memory stick, so if asked I'd just bring it up, add a bit on to reflect the rise in CT and utilities and send it on. I've never been asked for payslips or details of other debts, and if they did ask, they wouldn't get!!;)0
