Hi all i now find myself as being in the position of on my own with 3 children age 14, 5 and 2. Having lived quite luxuriously for many years i know i'm going to have to cut back! So has anyone found good cheaper alternatives to Clinique? I have combination fair skin. Thanks in advance. x:)

Hi there, I love Clinique foundation and just bought a new bottle at the weekend but money is rather tight so I might be using an alternative shortly.
Have you tried Boots No7? Their foundations are good but I like their dual protection tinted moisturiser. They do have a lot of offers on too.0 -
I have bought some Revlon Photoready recently and it is superb, really light and dewy, but still a good coverage. Think it was around £11.99, but Boots/Superdrug usually always have some sort of offer on.

Hi I used Clinique superbalanced for years and then realised I couldn't really afford it - I have tried alot and I like the following cheap alternatives (prob better than I actually liked Clinique) Rimmel Lasting Finish, Bourjois Healthy Skin & Revlon Colorstay with Softflex.
Out of those Rimmel is my fave and it's the cheapest - it last the longest and doesn't go shiny - if your skin is on the drier side of combination I would go with the Bourjois.0 -
Also when looking for new makeup now I check reviews on Makeupalley.com it's free to join and a great resource for all hair, skin, body & makeup products. I never buy anything without checking the reviews on their first it saves me buying rubbish.0

I'm a huge fan of Maybelline foundations and have different formulations for different looks, they seem to be kind on the skin too, better than my previous Estee Lauder fav:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Thanks everyone i will be off shopping tomorrow. Might try Rimmel or Revlon first as my local chemist does them both.If music be the food of love then play on"No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow". ღ ~Maya AngelouDoing it for my kids. I second the recommendation for the Revlon Photo Ready. I used to use the Clinique Superbalanced but I find this just as good.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator
