New 'I've entered' button!

Sounds good to me, I've been using the 'Thanks' button on the original posts so I can recognise what I have and haven't entered.

will it work if still using old style layout?

Good Idea, I'm certainly in favour but....

1) IMPORTANT. I would hope it would be fast to use like the 'Thanks' button, rather than slow like the 'Like It' button. I wouldn't like to spend ages (don't forget we enter well over a hundred comps each day) clicking 3 buttons for each comp and having to wait for the screen to refresh after each.

2) It would be especially useful where you want to thank the OP for posting a comp but don't want (or can't) enter at that time - Dennis comps come to mind or when we sometimes have debates over the answer.

3) MINOR POINT. I can't see it working for regular comps such as the current All About You daily where each day a reply is added to the thread with the new link & answer - but I don't think this is a big problem. I would not click 'entered' for these comps (so they are not ignored when they are bumped).

billiant - only started comping recently but I can see the huge benefit in not having to continually go back into threads only to realise I have entered and thanked already
