Well done! Hope you have hours of pleasure with that.
I've been doing comps on and off all my adult life. I had some really decent wins in the 80s and 90s, last big win was my adult's trike that I won in 2002. That was delivered to work too and I rode it home...:D I still own it and still ride it too, though I now work from home.
I knew the late Rita Smallburn who appeared on TV as the Competition Queen many years ago, a very smart lady. Rita had a gorgeous house not too far from me that was bought after she sold her competition win house in the Midlands - now that's a win and a half....
Comps aren't as much fun as they used to be when I used to spend hours thinking up slogans. This type of comp isn't so common now. As a single parent back then it gave me a wonderful hobby that really enabled me to enhance my life and that of my kids. Happy days.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
