If you look hard enough theres a few links for free 3 month trials.....I signed upto it about 1 week ago and have just recieved my card to be used til November :)
This deal is really good, I had a month trial one last year when I went to london, used it once and saved over £50......better now it has gone nationwide and its not just for overpriced places neither......I dont think I will ever pay for a card as there are constantly free trials available :)
Plus, the point that you have to book in advance....when I was in london I stood outside the place, read the number off the menu, called and 'booked' a table for in 10 mins, went in, had a drink and voila :)
I've sat at a table and booked it over the phone- but most don't need it.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Looks OK for free, but then many of the restaurants on here are prolifiic voucher providers - Strada, Pizza Express etc. are always on the MSE Deal Vouchers page:

So may be worth checking here as well!!

I'd definitely recommend it. I was using toptable and was getting great discounts there, but after using it for the three month trial I found it far superior so I've paid the £30 for one thanks to an offer they emailed me with today. I do live in London so I probably have more choice in using it but I've found places where you bring your own wine and still get 50% off. I'm impressed.
