    Claire,
    the diet will not affect the way your hair curls. If you have hair like mine (naturally DEAD straight) it will be VERY hard to curl and hard to KEEP curled.

    hair is 'dead' once it leaves your scalp, like finger nails.

    claire, what about using straightners on it, take the top section (crown of your head from the level of the top of your ears) twist this section and make a small bun, secure and have the ends spiking out.
