Does anyone use this powder? I used to use it a few years ago and really loved it. All I used was this and blusher on my face, no foundation. However, since I turned 40 (I am now 48), I have felt that powder maybe too ageing so have kept away from it and have just been using liquid foundation or tinted moisturiser on its own, but I remember how smooth and even this powder made my face look and would like to try it again but will it settle in my lines? Does anyone here over 40 use face powder?

Have you tried using a primer over the lines, this should stop the powder settling into them.
I'm in the over 40 brigade and although I don't have any lines due to oily skin, I still use a primer (Smashbox) for large pores and then my Bare Escentuals over the top - works a treat.0 -
Hi, thanks for your reply, no I haven't used a primer, it just seems like another product to have to buy really but it is a good idea.0

It is also good to apply a powder with a brush instead of a sponge pad. You get a much better finish and use less powder.0

At 51 I felt that I was goig through another age phase with make up:eek: I felt that I just wasn't gettinga nice finish anymore with my liquid foundation. I also used to use Creme puff many moons ago. I now use bare escentuals range and I absolutely adore it. It is expensive but I have started selling bits and bobs on ebay and that is funding my bare escentuals purchases.
I was in John Lewis one day and stopped for a look as I had read about it here. The girl ended up almost giving me a makeover and I ended up sold. I got one of their starter packs which contained all I needed and I also bought a primer which feels glorious.
It has made a huge difference and it has been commented that my make up looks so natural and also that I look younger :T
I would give that a try seriously. Go in and have the girtls demo it on you and see what you think0 -
I agree with what others are saying about primer
I always thought a primer was just another product to buy and not necessary but i tried it and now i would not be without my primer, it really makes a difference to how the rest of my make up looks and is something i would recommend :T0 -
