If it's of any consolation I am 56 and skint:mad:
At least you are at an age when you will be able to learn from your experience.
    Good luck
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Mm.. great that your family can help - but when and how are you going to repay them back? Start making payments back to them - even if it is just a small amount per month, it will show your thanks and gratitude - and confirm to them you are taking this seriously.

That is very sound advice from the_guy_with_a_simple_life, we have had problems (huge great rifts actually) in our family that boil down to borrowings within the family never been paid back.
  • Welcome.

According to my calcs you have £33.46 per week to spend on yourself. I suggest you write this in a little book on a Monday and write down what you spend and subtract. If you have any over, carry it forward to the next week. If you spend more than this you are overspending and getting more in debt. I have included £20 per month OD payoff, so ignore your bank balance.

Good luck, the figures are as follows:

    income weekly monthly
    self 800.00
    partner

    total 0.00 800.00
    184.62 divided by 4.33

    184.62 total weekly income

    spend weekly monthly
    rent/mortgage
    council tax
    elec
    gas
    water
    secured loans
    TV licence
    fines
    loan 215.00
    cc 120.00
    digs 150.00
    gym 35.00
    phone 60.00
    car ins 15.00
    travel 40.00
    od payoff 20.00

    total 0.00 655.00
    151.15 divided by 4.33

    £151.15 total weekly spend

    Start= income - spend = £33.46 per week
