Help with dcm- are they robbing me !

hi there,
this is my 1st time posting so please bear with me.
i have been with DCM money solutions since Dec 08.
i have stopped paying them the £150 fee for the past 2 months as i have been getting phone calls from my debtors recently saying they haven't received payments from DCM.
i contacted DCM who say they have had problems recently and are now in the process of starting a BACS system whereby they will pay my debtors immediately.
i have in the last 2 months asked for a full breakdown of my account and have just been sent all the relevant details.
from this i can see that they hardly payed anything at the start and it has been sporadic the past 8 or 9 months.
i signed up to view my credit report and see that there is missing payments all over the place.
i challenged DCM about this again and they say that all payments are up to date but i am doubting this.
my problem is that i haven't payed them for 2 months whilst i tried to sort this out and now that i know what i know i'm dubious about going back to them.
Q1, should i stay with them,
Q2 if they have not done what they said they have then can i report them and get my money back for what i deem as negligence against me.
please please please help as i'm tearing my hair out at the thought of my debtors calling and visiting again looking for money !
THANKYOU IN ADVANCE.....

Stop using DCM now.
Any pay firm for running a DMP is ripping you off. As you can see they have poor customer services.
You will get a better service and get it for free by using a charity firm. Switch to CCCS or PayPlan or CAP - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2077631
Pay Vs Free providers post - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=31705157&postcount=10
Remember pay firms stay in profit by keeping you in debt! They have no incentive to help you.
As DCM have not made payments i would try and get as much money back from them as possible. If they are taking money and charging a fee but not providing a service (paying creditors) you would have grounds to potentially sue them for financial loss if you are up to the battle.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Hi itsnoteasy,
As DC has stated, you should stop paying them immediately and go to an organisation that provide the service free of charge. This way, all the money goes toward the debts. I went with the consumer credit counselling service and found them great, but there are other options such as Payplan etc and I think Citizens Advice. If the debt collectors start calling, tell them you only wish to communicate with them in writing and send them the letter below.
Dear Sirs,
Account No: XXXXXXXX
I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing. I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls and I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only. I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine. Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company may be recorded and used in evidence and I expect this harassment to cease immediately.
Yours faithfully

i have been with DCM for over 2 years now. i have found them helpfull, polite and understanding.
i have never missed payments so have not had to cancel due to being behind with mine so i cannot comment on your case, but i do know my creditors have had payment by bacs now.
i have been informed by a lovely girl there that the cheques they used to send out caused no end of problems and as such there are probably a handful of clients who have mis allocated payments on creditors accounts! I was told that all creditors are now being paid by bacs as it is easily managed and there is less risk of payments getting lost in the post etc... i for one have had mine paid.
I cannot fault DCM as they have helped me no end. Yes i still get phone calls and letters that cant be stopped but all i do is send them to dcm or tell the creditors who i deal with. I went onto a debt management plan becuase the CAB were usueless and ccs were about the same. in fact ccs say they are charitable but i know someone who worked for them and they are all about profit. i understand that ccs get thier money direct from the creditor once you start paying them... so whats the difference between them and a debt management firm? i know i am better off with having the help and support i get from dcm and if i hadnt i would have been made bankrupt long ago, thats what the cab told me to do!0 -

Sadly , you are being robbed , any money you pay DCM could go towards your debts
And i see you say ..."Yes i still get phone calls and letters that cant be stopped "
So why not have CCCS or payplan help you run it ?
FOR FREE ?
Its a no brainer0 -
ccs still take money from me its just that that they get thier end from the creditors so i still have to pay soemone somewhere out of my regular payments so i would rather carry on doing what i'm doing thank you very much. also, i have been paying shed loads to my banks for many years so its par for the course!
oh and theres no need to be so blunt all the time LOL0 -
the payment you may make to CCCS is the exact amount that your creditor receives .....
more fool you mate0
