CCAing Creditor on DMP

Hi,
Sorry if I'm going over old ground here...
One of my creditors on my DMP (Barclaycard) has recently started charging high rates of interest again after 18 months of being on it. I have not missed a payment on the DMP so I am not sure why they have done this. I've written to them to ask them to consider re-freezing it but they won't reply.
Now, I'm thinking of CCAing them to see if I can get myself into a better position so they might sit up and take notice and negotiate with me, preferably re-freezing interest.
* The card was taken out in 1999/2000ish.
* The DMP are paying them more than the minimum contracted payment each month, as per the pro-rata rule, so it hasn't affected my credit rating too much. However, the account was in trouble before the DMP so there were missed payments which led to the card being cancelled and the credit limit zeroed.
I'm really not trying to get out of paying this, I just want a bit of leeway off them. CCA is a last straw.
What's your thoughts on this situation please?
Thanks.

CCA is a legal right. I advise that you excise it to give you bargaining power.
You can be difficult to deal with if they feel like been difficult to deal with. If the CCA is invalid, You could threaten to stop payments unless they freeze the interest again. Sure you take a hit on the credit file for 6 years but it may make them back down.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0
