How much is the rebate on annual commission?

Remember the Skandia CRA is designed for funds (currently). SIPPs are designed for direct investments. So, they are different target markets.

    What have I missed?

I remember the Alliance Trust SIPP being discussed on here last year, and if I remember correctly a few people with experience of the product were not particularly impressed with the Admin side.

rebate on AMC appears to be generally at 50%, eg get 0.75% back where AMC is 1.5%. Better than nothing...

The AT product looks more flexible and cheaper... as AT can do what Skandia do & more , my money is heading towards AT.

Something to be wary of ...thanks.
Otherwise AT looks like a better/cheaper offering (and a flexible SIPP to boot!)

be wary on that. most funds with natural trail pay 0.5%.

I havent checked but if they are talking about 0.75% then its probable that their platform is unbundled and the charges are elsewhere. i.e. a platform charge

Gatser, Did you clarify with the IFA what their difference was between wholesale and retail on Skandia CRA? Not sure, but might be related to who sets this up and the AMCs?

Interesting link here on pension costs and rebates with providers. Includes discussion on low cost Vanguard trackers available with Alliance Trust for "retail investors". But yet again, do not understand the differentiation between wholesale and retail.

Edit: removed question on XGBP, checked

  • Hi

On the subject of SIPPs does anyone else have a problem about finding competitive deposit accounts for SIPPs?

I'm finding it a real pain but I have come across a best buy table showing accounts that my SIPP can open, I'm new here so can' t post the link but google Investment Sense (.co.uk) and you will find them there.

    Hope this helps!

Sorry James.... I gave up! (apathy I think!)
I cannot be bothered to discuss further with that particular IFA... cos its going to cost me, I just know it!
In meantime...gone off Skandia via IFA, now I prefer the look of ALLIANCE TRUST Select SIPP.
