CRB check and bakruptcy

Just a quickie - does a CRB check for working with children bring up bankruptcy - am thinking about teacher training in particular?

bankruptcy is NOT a criminal offence so wont show on a CRB

Just to confirm what Phil has said. I had a CRB check as I'm on the PTA of our school. I was already BR and it didn't show up.

I think it would only if your BR was a result of fraud which would be a criminal offence then.

Well we have had quite a few posters on here who have had CRB checks and advanced CRB checks and not had any problems at all. It is not a criminal offence which is what the CRB checks look for.

Im a bit worried about that as I didnt think it showed up. Is cccs right or wrong?

I work in schools and nurseries for a council and did not show up.

That is atrocious advice from CCCS and will needlessly worry alot of people.
It will NOT appear on any CRB check, standard or enhanced. That is fact.
The only way a prospective employer will know is if they ask and if asked you are obliged to tell them...remember, some professions are barred to us anyway. But thankfully teaching isn't one of them.:)

Thanks for clrearing that up, have been worried sick since the CCCS answered my question and said it did show up.

I have asked on the cccs thread for them to check this as I feel its very bad for them to be givnig out the wrong info.
The cccs lady even says in a previous post thats she is checking to find the answer but still comes back and says it does show up.
Its very worrying that they are givig th wrong info out.
