:)When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :)

Good morning everyone :wave:hope your all happy & well today x

    Morning All :hello:

I'm a bit excited today, it looks like Popeye will be sent to the UK in September for 1 week, thus saving us the cost of a flight :j:j:j I'll go for 3 weeks as there is a fair amount to be sorted out :D

    So today I have/will:
    • research flight costs and hope that the cheap flights I saw last week are still available -fingers crossed :j
    • pay for it with my 0% card as money is still tight and we could do with postponing the bill :o
    • Make a list of things that I must do there - renew driving licence, sell/scrap car, contact Josiebabe etc :j
    • I stopped the TD after the maid left yesterday and the sheets are now on the line, and I will wash our jeans and line dry them too.
    • meal from meal plan
    • 30 mins on the CT - didn't do this yesterday as I didn't feel well
    • pick up my knitting again - must be completed by September now

Have a great day everybody :A

    Morning all!
Well done on the presentation determined! And good news for Olive - exciting, a trip home! I used to live in Canada and France (through work) and always looked forward to coming home, especially if it was a free trip!

I have decided to be more proactive today instead of moping around the house. So, today's efforts.....
    • Walk dog for free exercise
    • Checked banks - getting to the stage where I don't want to know anymore!
    • Checked quidco - no change - give me my money!
    • Had an email from phone recycling people saying the money is on its way - will almost pay for my half of the council tax this month
    • Do any surveys that come
    • Walk to Cartridge World (about an hour round trip) and get more ink so I can carry on working on school stuff
    • Have a NSD apart from ink
    • Update new diary
    • Think about a handbag I've seen on ebay to jazz up my outfit for the wedding - its very cheap at the moment (£5) so will make me feel like I've got something new and its very nice
    • Do at least 2 hours school work
    • All food from stores
    • Look into swapping CC balance onto a new card or a loan to be more organised about paying it off
    • Phone loan company to see what the balance is
    • Do at least 30 mins of getting out of puff exercise
    • Phone mum with free landline
That's all for now - have a good day.
