Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right place but last week (thursday to be exact) OH popped the question

i have a perfect (and very MSE) Amethist Silver ring.

I dont know when we will be starting to plan the wedding but just wanted to stick my head up and say hi

Im still glowing with happiness and am so totally honoured that he wants me to be with him forever

Hope everyone's wedding plans are going well

No date yet, part of me wants to do our anniversary, but the next time that is on a saturday is 2015 which is a rather long way away and we want to do lots of saving and things.

I think at the moment we are both just enjoying it

I am sure i will be an addict very soon

Congratulations and welcome aboard...be warned, this is an addictive place where you'll pop on to just have a quick look and find yourself totally engrossed in what everybody else is doing....part of me doesn't want my wedding to arrive cos I'm having so much fun getting all these ideas and sometime I've got to actually DO something!! Oh and I love the ring...I also have amethyst, adore purple...don't know anybody else who's got that

hehe, thanks for the congrats folks

OH's reasoning behind the ring (which we chose together) is that it is his Brithstone, at the moment we are still away from each other for most of the week so he said the ring will keep him close to me (plus i love purple lol)

I know we dont have to get married on a saturday, but we have a lot to do, i need to have my divorce finalised (which im hoping to have done by Christmas) and we need to save up pennies - at the moment all of our savings are going towards getting the roof repairs done next year so that is priority.

Also, half of the family (mine) and the majority of friends (mine and joint) will all need to travel for the wedding and at the moment with no ideas about numbers or anything im assuming that a saturday will be best

Although, maybe a mid week wedding would be a lot cheaper lol
